Application Support Analyst

An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the IT department at Darwin Escapes Head Office.

We are looking for an Application Support Analyst to join our team at Talacre Beach Resort in Flintshire, North Wales. Great competitive salary!

As an important part of our IT team, you will be responsible for providing application support, development, and administration. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and confident individual to progress their skills and develop experience with a range of modern IT technologies.

It is a permanent position to work full time hours. This will be standard office hours Monday to Friday.

Flexibility is essential to suit the needs of the business. 

There will be an occasional requirement to visit other sites in our group therefore a driving licence is essential.

About the role

Main responsibilities:

The successful Application Support Analyst will

·       Assist with the migration of our on-prem services to the cloud.

·       Take a lead role in IT projects to improve key business applications and supporting systems.

·       Take an active role with key O365 applications including SharePoint.

·       Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand issues or requirements, and identify solutions.

·       Develop an understanding of business operations with relation to business application usage

·      Be comfortable working with sets of data and producing reports.

·       Design and develop simple applications for internal use.

·       Work well with other members of the IT team and 3rd parties.

·       Produce supporting documentation.

·       Provide expertise to other IT projects and functions as required.

 Requirements:

This role would be suitable for someone who has a general interest in IT and technology, with a pragmatic and passionate approach to improving the use of technology within the business. Knowledge and experience of working with relational databases. Excellent skills with Microsoft Excel. Experience with web development or application development. Experience with Windows Server products and Active Directory. A sound understanding of IT security and access control. Ability to overcome technical problems and barriers encountered. Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and prioritise. Previous experience in an IT role. Any experience with ERP, CRM or PMS systems would be an advantage, but isn't essential.

What you will need

Required criteria

  • General interest in IT and technology, with a pragmatic and passionate approach to improving the use of technology within the business
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Knowledge and experience of working with relational databases
  • Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and prioritise
  • Relevant IT qualifications or experience to support the above

Desired criteria

  • Good knowledge of underlying MS SQL, data analysis, reporting services.
  • Experience with Microsoft Server products and web development or application development
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or similar products
  • Understanding of IT security
  • Experience with Office 365
