Machine Operator - Backshift
We are looking to recruit Machine Setters for our plant in Airdrie. This role will be working in a Chilled Food Manufacturing environment, therefore previous experience working within a similar environment is advantageous.
As a Machine Setter you will be responsible for supporting production activity, maximising line performance at start up and during shift and creating and monitoring operating procedures. You will also ensure 100% compliance and “right first time”, promoting best operational practice and validate the processes and equipment. You will conduct training and ensure training compliance using available resources and provide support and expertise to all departments with a view to maximising performance, as well as any other duties as instructed by senior management.
Types of machine equipment are: tray denesters, depositors, film/tray sealing machinery experience of x-ray and metal detection use would be advantageous.
We are looking for someone who has experience of:
· Working within a chilled food environment
· Numeracy and Literacy skills
· Food Hygiene Level 2 (Training will be provided)
· Understanding of HACCP

HOURS OF WORK
Any 5 over 7 days. Monday – Friday 16:00-00:30
These are the core working hours and flexibility with start and finish times is required. Flexibility may also be required to include weekend working.
SALARY
£10.90- £11.96 (depending on experience) + £0.50 per hour backshift allowance
