Group Financial Controller (Healthcare – Multi-Country Operations)
Role Overview
The Group Financial Controller will oversee the financial management, reporting, and control environment across multiple healthcare entities operating in the UK, Ireland, USA, India, and South Africa. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting while driving standardisation and efficiency across jurisdictions, including management of an offshore finance team.
Key Requirements
Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
Significant experience in a group financial controller or senior finance role
Experience managing multi-entity, multi-country financial operations
Strong understanding of international accounting standards and cross-border finance
Proven experience managing offshore or remote finance teams
Healthcare sector experience (desirable but not essential)
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
High attention to detail with the ability to operate strategically

About the role
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Control
Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements across all entities
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS / UK GAAP / US GAAP as applicable)
Maintain strong financial controls and governance frameworks across all regions
Oversee intercompany reconciliations and group eliminations
Multi-Country Oversight
Manage financial operations across the UK, Ireland, USA, India, and South Africa
Ensure compliance with local statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements in each jurisdiction
Coordinate with local finance teams, auditors, and external advisors
Monitor currency, tax, and regulatory risks across geographies
Offshore Team Management
Lead and develop an offshore finance team responsible for transactional processing and reporting support
Drive efficiency, standardisation, and automation of finance processes
Ensure clear communication, KPIs, and service delivery standards
Implement best practices for remote team management and performance tracking
Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead group-wide budgeting and forecasting processes
Provide variance analysis and actionable insights to senior leadership
Support strategic planning and financial decision-making
Audit & Compliance
Manage group audit processes and liaise with external auditors
Ensure timely completion of statutory accounts across all entities
Strengthen internal controls and risk management frameworks
Systems & Process Improvement
Drive improvements in financial systems, reporting tools, and processes
Support ERP optimisation and integration across regions
Promote data accuracy, consistency, and transparency
