Castle Leslie Estate is seeking a highly organised and people focused People & Training Administrator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting others, maintaining strong systems, and contributing to a positive working environment across the Estate.

As a key member of the People & Training Department, you will provide administrative support to the People & Training Manager, while also taking responsibility for the smooth running of staff accommodation, compliance checks, and energy usage monitoring.

Role is ideally looking towards a May start- Part time may be considered

Usual Working hours 9-5.30am but can be flexible.

About the role

People & Training Support

  • Assist the People & Training Manager with day‑to‑day HR and training administration

  • Support with onboarding processes, registering training, setting up induction

  • Maintain employee records and ensure all documentation is up to date and compliant alongside accounts

  • Help coordinate staff training sessions, attendance tracking, and follow‑up actions

  • Communicate proactively with department managers to gather updates, training needs, and staffing information

  • Support internal engagement initiatives and staff communication

Staff Accommodation & Welfare

  • Oversee the day‑to‑day management of staff accommodation

  • Conduct regular accommodation checks and inspections

  • Ensure new staff are welcomed, assigned rooms, and briefed on accommodation rules

  • Monitor energy usage, report issues, and promote responsible consumption

  • Communicate energy allowance policies, escalate concerns, and help implement improvements

  • Liaise with Maintenance for repairs and upkeep

Systems & Administration

  • Track Alkimii records accurately and efficiently (job chats, sickness, return to works)

  • Support managers with Alkimii queries and help ensure the system is used correctly

  • Prepare reports, updates, and administrative documents as required

  • Assist with file management, scheduling, communications, and general departmental admin

    About You

    • Strong organisational, administrative, and time‑management skills

    • Friendly, approachable, and confident communicating with all levels of staff

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally

    • Comfortable coordinating accommodation, conducting checks, and addressing issues fairly

    • Proficient in basic IT systems; experience with Alkimii is an advantage

    • A positive attitude and willingness to support a busy, dynamic hospitality environment
