You may be offered a variety of shifts, and the rate of pay for this casual work is £9.55 to £12.75 per hour, depending on your age.

About the role

To be responsible for the presentation of the bar and the service of beverages and snacks for greatest enjoyment of our guests.

  • To maintain the cleanliness of service areas according to Hastings Standards.

  • To serve food and beverages to guests ensuring the highest standard of service and that all guest needs and expectations are met. Typical tasks include, bar stocks, preparing and serving beverages, taking orders and payments.

  • Greeting guests and responding to their queries.

  •  To ensure all cash, charges, floats and till procedures are carried out correctly.

  • To use equipment and bar pumps efficiently, to maintain proper measures and ensure minimum wastage.

  • To always maintain the security of stock areas, immediately reporting any breaches.

  • To be knowledgeable about the hotel offerings and be proactive in the sale of these to guests.

  • To ensure that guest concerns are dealt with politely and efficiently, reporting them to the Supervisor/Manager on duty.

  • To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.

  •  To comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.

  • Any other duties as required by management.
