Overview

An experienced and strategic CAMHS leader with a strong background in hospital-based mental health services, now specialising in the development and delivery of community CAMHS provision. Skilled in leading multidisciplinary teams, improving patient outcomes, and driving service transformation across child and adolescent mental health pathways.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in CAMHS, including senior leadership roles

  • Strong background in hospital/acute mental health settings

  • Proven experience working within community mental health services

  • Demonstrated ability to lead service transformation and change management

  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g. Clinical Psychology, Psychiatry, Nursing, Social Work)

  • Registration with appropriate professional body (e.g. HCPC, NMC, GMC)

  • Experience of working within NHS frameworks and commissioning environments

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of CAMHS services within the community setting

  • Lead the transition and integration of services from hospital-based care to community-based models

  • Ensure high-quality, safe, and effective mental health care for children and young people

  • Manage and support multidisciplinary teams including clinicians, therapists, and support staff

  • Develop and implement service improvement plans aligned with NHS and local authority priorities

  • Oversee clinical governance, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance

  • Build strong partnerships with schools, social care, NHS trusts, and third-sector organisations

  • Monitor performance, outcomes, and service delivery against KPIs and targets

  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure sustainability and growth
