Housekeeper
Role Overview
We are looking for a Housekeeper to join our friendly team at Mullion Cove Coastal Retreat, part of Darwin Escapes.
This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and enjoys working in a team environment. You will help prepare our holiday accommodation to ensure every guest arrives to a spotless and welcoming lodge.
This is a fixed-term position, offering variable hours, typically between 10 and 16 hours per week

Housekeeper – Roles & Responsibilities
Accommodation Cleaning
Clean and prepare lodges, caravans, and other accommodation units to company standards for guest arrivals.
Change bed linen and make beds neatly.
Thoroughly clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas.
Vacuum, dust, mop floors, and wipe down all surfaces.
Ensure each accommodation unit is presented to a high standard before check-in.
Guest Experience
Make sure all accommodation feels welcoming and presentable for guests.
Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to management.
Maintain cleanliness in communal areas when required.
Team Support
Work collaboratively with other housekeeping team members, especially during changeover days.
Support supervisors in preparing accommodation efficiently within allocated timeframes.
Follow company cleaning checklists, procedures, and standards consistently.
Health & Safety
Use cleaning products and equipment safely and as instructed.
Store cleaning materials safely and appropriately.
Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures at all times.

About the role
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning and preparing holiday lodges and accommodation for arriving guests
Changing bed linen and making beds
Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living spaces
Vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Reporting maintenance issues or damages
Supporting the housekeeping team during busy changeover days
What you will need

- Right to work

- Driver's license
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience
- Ability to follow procedures
- Experience using commercial cleaning equipment
