Primary Job Purpose:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Greenkeeper to join our Golf Team. The successful applicant will assist in maintaining and repairing the golf course in order to provide safety and the best guest experience.
About the role
Roles and Responsibilities:
Cutting of tee’s, fairways, rough and greens.
Treatments of tee’s, fairways and greens.
Strimmer’s/ Fly Mows/ Hand Tools
Plan maintenance activities around golfers on the course
Bunker maintenance
Using the right tools and machinery to cut, maintain and repair the golf course
Assisting the Head Greenkeeper with course projects/ modifications, such as the building of tees, restructuring and removal of hazards
Course repairs – Divots/ Pitchmarks/ Animal damage
Liaising and working alongside the Golf Department & Hotel
Machinery cleanliness & maintenance
Helping keep the golf course clean, tidy & in line with health and safety regulations.

Keys Skills:
An in-depth knowledge of turf and how to maintain it.
Practical skills for driving and operating machinery.
Good stamina and physical fitness.
To be self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative.
To be able to work alone and also as part of a team.
Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
To understand and follow health and safety requirements.
To have good communication skills.

Required criteria
- Good standard of English and Maths Up to date
- Experience of working in golf leisure
- Health and Safety Training
