Maintenance Technician

We’re seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our operations team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of equipment and facilities to ensure smooth and safe operations across our site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance on vehicles including forklifts, man lifts, milling machines and plant equipment.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot plant machinery such as CNC machines, presses, saws, cranes, and cutting systems.

  • Perform building maintenance tasks and maintenance.

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.

  • Support project work and assist in relocating or setting up equipment and workspaces.

  • Maintain records of repairs and parts used; order replacements as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.

About the role

What We’re Looking For

Experience: 

  • Minimum 5 years in industrial, mechanical, or electrical maintenance, or a relevant technical qualification.

Skills:

  • Proficient in using diagnostics and fault finding.

  • Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams.

  • Basic knowledge of maintenance systems and electrical wiring practices.

  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Qualifications:

  • 2-year degree or certificate in industrial maintenance (Or equivalent experience).

  • Valid UK driver’s license with a clean record.

Desirable Extras:

  • Experience working with production machinery

  • Loller

  • Iosh Managing safely 

  • Fork truck license.

  • Progress or qualification in PAT testing or similar certification.

  • Strong understanding of coolant systems, ultra-filtration, and compressed air systems.

Working Conditions:

  • Industrial environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and occasional airborne particles.

  • PPE and safety training provided.

  • Flexibility to work overtime when required to meet operational needs.
