Assist with personal care, including showering, bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene
Support with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and shopping
Help with medication administration and accompany individuals to health appointments
Use positive, safe approaches to support people experiencing behaviours of distress
Encourage social interaction, community engagement, and participation in enjoyable activities
Offer emotional reassurance, companionship, and a calming presence
Promote independence, dignity, choice, and respect in everything you do
Every task contributes to improving someone’s quality of life — and that’s what makes this role so rewarding.
🔹 Key Skills & Qualities We’re Looking For
You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
Patience, empathy, and a naturally caring attitude
Strong communication and active listening skills
Dependability and the ability to stay calm under pressure
Confidence supporting individuals with complex needs
A willingness to learn, grow, and follow personalised support plans
Experience is valuable — but compassion and the right mindset matter just as much.
✨ Could This Be the Role for You?
If you are compassionate, reliable, and motivated to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, this could be the perfect next step in your career.
You won’t just be supporting people — you’ll be helping them to live with independence, dignity, and joy.
