Night Porter
Ballymascanlon Hotel & Golf Resort is currently recruiting for a part time Night Porter to join the Team, on a 3 Month Fixed term contract initially.
The Ballymascanlon Hotel is a four-star property set on 130 acres of beautiful parkland, this impressive Victorian House forms the heart of this Hotel. It is one of the most remarkable historical estates in Ireland dating back to 833 A.D.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for guest welcome in line with company procedures
To check in and out hotel guests in a friendly, prompt & efficient manner
To respond to guest's requests for information about the hotel and its surroundings
To arrange for special services requested by the guest
To follow emergency procedures to provide for the security and safety of guests and employees
To maintain the appearance of the hotel lobby and entrance to include ashtrays and the ground areas
To perform light cleaning in the lobby, corridors and entrances by picking up litter, emptying ashtrays and properly arranging furniture. To hoover and mop the hotel lobby during night time hours
To ensure security of the hotel during the night shift
Conference/function room set up when required
About the role
Requirements:
Fluent English and excellent communication skills
Available to work during the night hours
Previous experience working with a front office system is desirable
1 year of previous experience as a night porter within a 3 /4* property
