Chef
Malone Hotel, Belfast, has an incredible opportunity for two passionate Chefs to support the Executive Head Chef with managing kitchen operations across a restaurant, bar, and wider hotel rebrand. The successful candidate will oversee the food offering across the restaurant, bar, and function spaces, building a strong, well-trained team that consistently delivers amazing culinary experiences day in and day out.
About the role
Key Responsibilities:
Support talent selection for your kitchen team, and ensure the department is adequately staffed and trained.
Ensure the highest level of guest and employee care at all times, develop a positive working culture within the department, and foster pride in their food.
Support with purchasing, cleaning and maintenance within the kitchen areas and any other admin required for the department.
Work alongside the Executive Head Chef and senior team to consistently deliver an impeccable and profitable product.
Consistently review food offerings in line with industry trends, seasonality and ensure strong use of local produce and suppliers.
Comply with statutory regulations and ensure the business operates within the law, and ensure your team has all necessary up-to-date qualifications.
Regularly review guest feedback to improve your product and service.
Essential Criteria:
At least 2 years' experience at Chef level.
A proven track record in a hotel environment operating to a 4-star standard is desirable, or knowledge of large-scale functions/events at a minimum.
Strong people management skills.
Knowledge of working with financial targets.
Guest-oriented and service-minded.
