About the role

About the Role

This role is for Night duty for 33 hours per week.  Shifts will mainly be from 7:45pm - 8am.

Iveagh House, located on the Castlewellan Road, Banbridge, caters for up to 33 residents requiring frail elderly care.


As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and dignity of our residents. Working alongside a dedicated multi-disciplinary team, you will provide compassionate, person-centred care, assisting with personal care, meal times, daily routines and meaningful activities. Your support will help create a safe, comfortable, and enriching environment where residents can thrive.


About You

  • NISCC registration (or able to obtain within 6 months)

  • Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be aged 18 or over upon commencement of the role.

  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK (this role does not meet Home Office requirements for sponsorship)

  • Medical fitness to carry out physical requirements of the role.


While we particularly welcome candidates with the following qualities, they are not essential:

  • Previous paid or unpaid experience in providing care in all aspects of daily living.

  • A qualification equivalent to an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.

Additional Information

Interviews may take place via video call.

This role involves substantial access to vulnerable adults. The successful candidate will be offered the position subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure Check through Access NI.  Regulated posts will also require a check of the adult barred list.
