The Role
Location: Flexibility required – travel will be mostly across Leinster with some travel to head office in Monaghan
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Regional Manager will support the delivery of service and business operations across a portfolio of children’s residential homes. You will model and lead professional social care and safety practice, ensuring high-quality, trauma informed, child-centred services and positive outcomes for young people and their families. You will work closely with internal multidisciplinary teams and external partners to uphold national standards, regulatory compliance, and Ashdale’s model of care.
What You’ll Do
· Drive continuous quality improvement, set clear benchmarks, embed best practices, and review service outcomes to ensure the highest-quality care and best results for the young people we support.
· Build and maintain robust relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including Social Workers and Guardian ad Litem’s.
· Develop high-performing teams through mentoring, and a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring quality services are consistently delivered.
· Ensure operational compliance with National standards and relevant legislation
· Optimise resource utilisation and processes, integrate appropriate technologies, and uphold Ashdale policies and procedures.
· Identify opportunities to design and evolve services that meet unique regional needs; lead initiatives that advance Ashdale’s innovative aspirations in care solutions.

What you will need
Required criteria
- • Primary degree to minimum level 7 in Social Care, Social Work or equivalent
- • Minimum 3 years’ senior operational management experience within the social care sector, with performance management responsibilities.
- • Extensive residential care experience and a proven track record of managing teams
- • Proactive, independent, and resilient with strong follow‑up skills; able to balance day‑to‑day provision with strategic service development.
- • Demonstrated experience working with Tusla/HIQA and in building positive stakeholder relationships.
- • Strong IT literacy (Digital systems/Microsoft 365) and data competence; able to deliver high‑quality reports to deadlines.
- • Full clean driving licence and full eligibility to work in Ireland without restriction.
