Fitness Instructor
Scope and Purpose of the job
We are currently recruiting a part time fitness instructor to work 24-32 hours per week at our gym in Doubletree by Hilton Templepatrick.
As a Fitness Instructor you will be responsible for conducting fitness programs and assessments to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while promoting the facilities and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
About the role
Primary duties and responsibilities
Carry out fitness assessments on members as required
Conduct fitness programes and inductions
Run classes/provide coaching as scheduled by the Club Manager
Understand and advise members and guests on the correct usage of gym equipment
Ensure adequate coverage of the pool, gym and reception
Carry out regular pool tests
Maintain cleanliness of reception, changing rooms, pool side and gym facilities
Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Promote the facilities to hotel residents and perspective members
What you will need
Required criteria
- Good communication skills
- Positive can-do attitude
- Works well under pressure
- Self-motivated
- Works well as part of a team
- previous experience in a busy gym
- be able to work evenings and weekends
Desired criteria
- 6 months experience of teaching classes
- first aid trained
- lifeguard experience
