⏰ Shift Patterns (Including Weekends)

We offer a variety of shifts, including weekend work as part of the rota:

🌞 Day Shifts: 07:30 – 21:30🌙 Night Shifts: 21:15 – 07:45

Flexibility and reliability are essential, as weekends are included.

About the role

🔹 Support Worker – Role Overview

A Support Worker provides practical and emotional support to individuals with autism, learning disabilities, complex care needs, and behaviours of distress. The people we support live in their own homes within our setting, and our role is to help them live as independently, safely, and comfortably as possible at home and in the community.

Support Workers provide person-centred care tailored to each individual’s needs, preferences, and goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with personal care, including showering, bathing, washing, dressing, and personal hygiene

  • Supporting with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping

  • Helping with medication administration and attending health appointments

  • Supporting individuals to manage behaviours of distress in a safe and positive way

  • Encouraging social interaction and participation in activities

  • Providing emotional reassurance and companionship

  • Promoting independence, dignity, choice, and respect at all times


Key Skills & Qualities:

  • Patience, empathy, and a caring nature

  • Strong communication and listening skills

  • Dependability and a calm approach to challenges

  • Confidence supporting individuals with complex needs

  • Willingness to learn and follow individual care and support plans
