CDE Global is now seeking to appoint a Senior Material Co-Ordinator to oversee the group’s procurement function. This role will be critical in the efficient delivery of our solutions across the Mining, Construction & Demolition Waste Recycling, Environmental, Industrial Sands and Sands & Aggregates sectors.
Reporting directly to the Senior Stores Supervisor, you will have a key role within the Supply Chain Team and significant input into the strategic direction of the department.
This position is based in Monkstown, Northern Ireland.
About the role
Job Purpose
The Senior Material Co‑ordinator is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow, accuracy, and availability of materials across multiple business functions, including Assembly, Procurement, Production, and wider Supply Chain operations. This role provides flexible support across these areas by coordinating stock movement, maintaining inventory integrity, and proactively addressing material requirements to enable smooth operational performance. The postholder acts as a key link between departments, ensuring timely communication, prioritisation, and problem‑solving to support on‑time delivery and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Material Coordination & Flow
Ensure timely and accurate movement of materials to and from Stores to support Assembly, Production, and other operational areas.
Prioritise material requests based on production schedules, shortages, and departmental needs.
Coordinate with Assembly teams to ensure kits, components, and consumables are available when required.
Inventory Management
Maintain accurate stock levels through regular cycle counting, stock rotation, and investigation of discrepancies.
Manage and record all goods movements (goods in/out, returns, quarantines, transfers) ensuring full traceability.
Identify and report low‑stock or at‑risk materials to Procurement in a timely manner.
Cross‑Functional Support
Liaise daily with Procurement, Assembly, Production, Planning, and Quality to resolve material issues and prevent delays.
Provide operational support across multiple functions as required, including helping assemble kits, preparing materials, and supporting urgent build requirements.
Communicate effectively between departments to ensure accurate understanding of priorities and constraints.
Goods In / Goods Out
Receive deliveries, check documentation, and ensure goods are inspected, booked in, and stored correctly.
Prepare, package, and dispatch outbound goods in line with customer, quality, and logistics requirements.
Data & System Accuracy
Update ERP/MRP systems with accurate stock transactions, bin locations, and material movements.
Support the continuous improvement of data quality by highlighting recurring errors or process gaps.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure all materials are handled, stored, and issued in line with Health & Safety and Quality procedures.
Segregate and manage non‑conforming goods in liaison with Quality and Procurement.
Housekeeping & Operational Excellence
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe Stores environment.
Participate in process improvement initiatives across Stores and wider Supply Chain operations.
Support audits and contribute to the implementation of best practice standards.
Other
To adhere to CDE policy and practice.
To carry out any other duties within reason and capability associated with this role.
What you will need
Required criteria
- • Proven experience working in a Stores, Warehouse, or Supply Chain environment.
- • Strong understanding of inventory control, stock accuracy processes, and material flow.
- • Ability to work flexibly across multiple functions such as Assembly, Procurement, Production, Picking and Goods In/Out.
- • Competent in using ERP/MRP systems for stock transactions and material management.
- • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple demands in a fast paced environment.
- • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams.
- • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all material handling and data entry tasks.
- • Ability to interpret pick lists, BOMs, material requests, and delivery documentation.
- • Practical, hands on approach with the ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely.
- • Knowledge of Health & Safety, manual handling, and warehouse best practices.
- • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks while maintaining team focus.
- • Problem solving mindset with the ability to investigate stock issues and propose solutions.
