Job Title: Socialisation Lead
Employer: Town & Country Care Homes Ltd
Based: Across two Care Homes based in Randalstown and Antrim
Rate of Pay: (£14 per hour – currently under review)
Position: Full time – 37.5 hrs per week
Desired Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:
Basic health and/or social care qualifications
Good communication skills
Good creative skills
Team Worker
Experience of care provision
Full Driving Licence
About the role
Responsibilities:
1. To lead and encourage residents to join in meaningful, enjoyable and therapeutic activities whilst maintaining their independence, choice and dignity, to enable them to lead as full and active life as possible.
2. Help to create a stimulating environment that enables us to deliver exceptional all-round care and support for our residents.
3. To work with each new resident to understand their likes/dislikes, abilities and needs to put together an individual social care plan and to evaluate regularly.
4. Working as part of a team to deliver excellent quality, person-centred care to all residents.
5. To assist the manager in conducting inductions, appraisals, and supervision meetings with staff.
6. Managing an ongoing calendar of social events and activities for residents.
7. Enriching the lives of residents through the organisation and delivery of activities.
8. Updating and maintaining records in line with resident care.
9. This role will include transporting residents to and from Hospital appointments and also on trips out of the home.
10. As this role is located within a regulated facility an enhanced Access NI check will be required for successful candidates.
