HR Generalist (Maternity Cover 1 year)
Ashdale Care has been providing Residential Care and supports for children and young people across the North-East of the country for over 20 years. We support children and young people who are unable to live at home and who present with a range of behavioural, emotional and psychological difficulties, as a result of their early life trauma. Most of our young people have experienced significant developmental trauma in their lives. Our service is child-centred and uses a comprehensive, evidence-based, programmatic approach (CARE) in the homes, with additional support provided by our in-house Therapeutic Support Team, which consists of Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Art Therapists, Teachers, and Behaviour Therapists.
The Role:
We are seeking a dynamic HR Generalist to join our team. This role will encompass all aspects of HR working closely with managers and employees across Ashdale Care ensuring alignment with our organisational goals and values.
About the role
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
HR Partner with specific Groups/levels of the business. Provide guidance and coaching to manager/supervisors and support them through their HR queries in accordance with HR policies and procedures, best practice and employment legislation.
Provide support and guidance to employees on terms and conditions of employment and HR policy and practice.
Maintain HRIS for your Business Group. Ensuring information is accurate and up to date for both paper and computerised system complying with Data Protection.
Process ownership for Employee Relations management; of respective Group. Conduct investigations and manage ER cases, including disciplinary & performance improvement.
Produce HR metrics and reports to support the business in driving performance.
Absence management including the recording of absence, managing absence data, providing reports, supporting managers with their team’s absence levels, organising and participating in absence meetings and case management. Ensuring that actions are followed up, information recorded and meetings arranged.
Handle employee files, create templates and document HR processes.
Effectively collaborate with various internal and external teams, including Legal, Finance & Accounting, Talent Acquisition, IT, Procurement and others.
Handle sensitive employee data with the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reports as required.
Manage Internal and External HR Audits for business groups.
Support and coach managers on performance management issues and processes.
Administration of HR Payroll Data and for your Group.
· Performance Management. Support Home and Deputy Managers with performance concerns. Management of Probation review and Performance appraisal system.
Skills and Qualifications:
Degree or 3rd level qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Prior HR Generalist experience is essential.
Minimum 2+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on HR business partnering; ideally within a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong knowledge of HR best practices and Irish Employment Legislation.
Pro-active and Positive “can do “attitude is key.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Proficient in using the entire Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience in social care or a health-related discipline desirable but not essential.
High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
