Credit Controller
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Credit Controller to join our finance team. This role is critical in managing resident accounts, local authority funding, and third-party payments while maintaining a sensitive and professional approach appropriate to the care sector.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
Manage resident accounts, including private, local authority, and NHS-funded care
Ensure timely collection of fees and outstanding balances
Liaise with residents, families, local authorities, and funding bodies regarding payments
Reconcile accounts and resolve payment queries efficiently
Maintain accurate financial records in line with regulatory requirements
Work closely with care home managers and the wider finance team
Prepare aged debt reports and support month-end processes
What you will need
Required criteria
- • Confident communicating sensitively with residents and families
- • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- • Comfortable working with accounting software and Excel
- • Proven experience in credit control
