We are looking for Care Practitioners who are either experienced or wish to pursue a career in the Care Sector to join our family. As a Care Practitioner, you’ll look after the physical, psychological and social needs of the individuals to help us deliver the quality care they deserve.
About the role
Key Responsibilities:
Assist residents who need help with dressing, undressing, toileting, bathing, and feeding.
Provide adequate and appropriate care for residents confined to bed.
Take appropriate levels of care when handling property belonging to residents.
Help residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, and assist in the use, maintenance, and care of personal aids and equipment.
Promote the mental and physical wellbeing of residents through talking to them, taking them out, and sharing in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies, and recreation.
Ensure unnecessary damage to the building and contents is not caused by careless movement of residents' property (e.g., wheelchairs).
Make and change beds, empty commodes, tidy rooms, and undertake designated cleaning duties.
Inspect, launder, and repair residents' clothing.
Assist in the setting of tables and trays, preparing, serving, and clearing away meals.
Answer emergency bells, the door, and the telephone, and greet visitors.
Read reports, take part in staff and residents meetings, and in training activities as directed.
Make written observations of the resident.
Attend mandatory training courses relevant to the position as directed by the Managers.
Practise safe systems of work, especially when moving and handling loads, by assessing risk and having due regard
Act courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
Undertake such duties as may be mutually determined from time to time.
Work as a Keyworker to an allocated number of residents, ensuring their room is kept clean and tidy and that the resident has enough toiletries.
Additional Responsibilities – Night Duty
Restock incontinence wear; gloves, aprons, and all other personal care products.
Clean tables, chairs, and remove kitchenware from bedrooms.
Clean all hoists and ensure that they are on charge.
Empty and replace bins in bathrooms and sluice rooms.
Inspect and collect dirty laundry.

Requirements
QCF Level 2 / 3 (Desirable)
Good communication skills.
A passion for providing elderly care.
Ability to relate to and care for older people in a sensitive manner.
Integrity and a compassionate nature.
An understanding of and adherence to Caron Group’s ethos.
Aged 18 or above.
Due to the nature of the clients we care for and their complex needs, we need to ensure that we are safeguarding minors and reducing their exposure to potentially challenging situations. The employment of individuals aged 16 and 17 is therefore not permitted for any roles within the group requiring delivery of direct personal care.
