We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic person to work with our housekeeping team at the exclusive, five-star Culloden Estate & Spa. The role of Turndown Attendant ensures our guest rooms are prepared for a restful evening and peaceful sleep, by creating a welcoming and tranquil environment.

Hours will vary, however as this role is primarily to prepare guest rooms for the evening, typical shifts will be from 6pm to 11pm. We are open to considering a variety of contracts such as casual work, part-time (up to 20 hours per week) or full-time, (35 hours per week excluding meal breaks). Please indicate your availability in the application form.

The rate of pay for this position is £9 to £12.25 per hour depending on your age, or £22,568 per annum on a full-time basis.

About the role

To ensure that areas within the hotel are cleaned and presented to the Hastings Standard for the greatest enjoyment of our guests.

  • Evening Room Preparation including removing bedspread and arrange bedding for sleep, closing curtains or blinds.

  • Refreshing towels and toiletries as needed and providing amenities such as bottled water, slippers, or chocolates.

  • Adjust lighting to a softer, relaxing level.

  • Empty bins and tidy up the room .

  • Maintain discretion and professionalism.

  • Report any maintenance issues or lost property.

  • Communicate guest preferences to housekeeping or front desk.

  • Providing a laundry and dry cleaning service for the greatest enjoyment of the guests and maximum resource efficiency for the hotel.

  • To process guest laundry and dry cleaning to high standards, ensuring items are accurately labelled and returned to the correct bedroom.

  • To ensure all equipment and materials are used in the correct manner and any problems are reported immediately.

  • To always maintain the security of bedrooms and stock, immediately reporting any breaches and dealing with lost property in accordance with company procedures.

  • To work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.

  • To be knowledgeable about the hotel offerings and be proactive in the sale of these to guests.

  • Greeting guests and responding to their queries.

  • To ensure that guest concerns are dealt with politely and efficiently, reporting them to the Supervisor/Manager on duty.

  • To comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.

  • Any other duties as required by management.

 

About You 

We would love you to have some similar previous experience, but this is not essential as our Housekeeping Team will provide you with full training.
