Regional Operations Manager
Evergreen Care Group is seeking a Regional Operations Manager to join its team. We are looking for someone who is as dedicated as we are to providing person-centred, high-quality care to our residents in a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment.
At Evergreen Care Nursing Home Group, our Regional Operations Manager holds a senior leadership position, overseeing the operations, financial performance, and quality of care across multiple nursing homes within a designated geographical region. This role is critical to ensuring that each home delivers exceptional, person-centred care while maintaining full regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will ensure a best practice approach to all aspects of leadership ensuring that their Nursing Homes are well managed and the needs are the residents are provided for.
The Regional Operations Manager will mentor and support Persons in Charge and management teams, driving continuous improvement, fostering a culture of excellence, and ensuring that all homes meet or exceed HIQA standards. This position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and business acumen to balance care quality with financial sustainability.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in building and maintaining relationships and strong communication skills at all levels, the ability to foster excellent teamwork, have demonstrated leadership characteristics and have and good knowledge of HIQA standards. The successful candidate will have direct management experience in a similar role and will be able to commute to Nursing Homes within the South East and surrounding areas to support PICs & Nursing Homes as required.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
Manage day-to-day operations across all homes in the region to ensure smooth running and efficiency.
Monitor performance metrics, occupancy levels, and operational KPIs to achieve organisational goals.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure all facilities meet or exceed regulatory requirements (HIQA standards) through regular site visits, audits, and performance reviews.
Support homes during inspections and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Leadership & Mentoring
Provide strong leadership and coaching to Persons in Charge and senior staff.
Assist with onboarding new managers and cover leadership gaps when required.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Financial Management
Monitor regional budgets, revenue, and expenses to ensure financial viability.
Drive occupancy and optimise resource allocation while maintaining care quality.
Business Development
Contribute to strategic growth initiatives and new business opportunities.
Manage contract compliance with local authorities and other stakeholders.
Stakeholder Relations
Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, residents’ families, and community partners.
Continuous Improvement
Promote innovation and implement operational enhancements across all homes.
Identify opportunities for improvement and lead change initiatives.
Required Education, Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior management within healthcare or nursing home operations, ideally with multi-site responsibility.
Proven track record in operational leadership, financial management, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent knowledge of HIQA standards and clinical governance.
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.
Relevant qualification in Healthcare Management, Nursing, or Business Administration (NMBI registration essential for this role).

What you will need
Required criteria
- Minimum 3 years’ post qualification experience
- Post registration management qualification in health or a related field
- Excellent knowledge of HIQA standards
- Be registered with NMBI or be entitled to be so registered
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven written and verbal communication abilities.
- Possesses the clinical, administrative and leadership capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role
