Location: Port of Grangemouth
Compensation: £33,573 + Shift allowance £8,396 + paid overtime
Hours: Full-time working early, late and night shifts as part of a roster

About the role
We are seeking to strengthen our skilled Port teams by recruiting enthusiastic and committed Port Operators. Plant driving is a major part of the role, and you will be trained to drive port plant equipment such as straddle carriers, forklifts and tugs. We are particularly looking for candidates who have the potential to train as crane drivers so the ability to work at height is essential.
It is important to us that you are a good team member, who is also able to work independently. You will need to think critically, analyse situations, and develop practical solutions to overcome obstacles, minimise delays, and maintain operational efficiency.
The Port environment is fast paced and busy so you must be able to demonstrate a really good understanding of the importance of Health and Safety in a heavily industrialised environment.
You will be working on the quayside, in the hold of vessels and in our warehouses.
What are we looking for?
Plant driving experience and a forklift truck licence
You must be available to work regular overtime
Weekend and nightshift working will be required
Full driving licence, valid in the UK
