Roadstone is the leading manufacturer and supplier of building materials in Ireland. Roadstone’s nationwide business includes the manufacture and distribution of a wide range of construction products including concrete, aggregates, asphalt and macadam, concrete blocks and paving products.

Roadstone Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Manager to join our Dublin team. This key role will drive the business commercial strategy along with developing high performing talent within the team.

About the role

Sales & Commercial Leadership

  • Develop and drive a commercial strategy to sustain and grow key business sectors.

  • Attract and develop talent within the sales function.

  • Provide sales mentorship and elevate the team’s abilities to manage relationships and increase revenue.

  • Foster a collaborative environment across the business functions which will enable the team to achieve their sales targets while also being customer facing supporting the sales process at all stages.

 

Sales & Commercial Execution

  • Communicate clear performance targets to team.

  • Accurately forecast revenue pipelines, be accountable and fully understand reasons for under performance and outstanding successes.

  • Constantly innovate ways to balance sales opportunities, customer management, and new customer on-boarding 

  • Draw upon organisational resources to build customer-focused relationships, including providing technical advice and guidance.

  • Manage sales revenue collection and credit control.

  • Conduct thorough cost/benefit analysis before pursuing potential business.

 

Customer Relationships

  • Develop customer collaboration and commitment at all stages of the value chain, negotiating for win-win outcomes.

  • Drive a customer service model for the Company that ensures the highest standards of customer service are achieved, anticipate and provide solutions to customer needs.

  • Skilled in establishing and maintaining industry stakeholder relationships, in support of our reputation and brand.

  • Develop our brand as a leading provider of buildings materials solutions.

 

Strengthen the Company

  • Champion and communicate best practices for continuous improvement.

  • Develop and improve on our sustainable solutions and carbon reduction targets.

  • Listen to the needs of the market and share the learning internally with operational and technical teams.

  • Be proactive about solving issues facing the full management team.

  • Be ready to take on additional initiatives and responsibilities as they emerge.

  • Demonstrate Roadstone’s ethics, values and behaviours at all times.

 

The following knowledge, skills and competencies are desirable for this role:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the construction sector

  • Demonstratable experience of leading a function or team and driving business improvement.

  • Knowledge of where Roadstone products are positioned in the marketplace relative to competitors.

  • Significant proven commercial acumen while maintaining the highest standard of professionalism and ethics.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.

  • Experience of coaching and team development

  • Results driven with a history of contributing and adding value.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
