Trainee IT Operations & Security Engineer

The IT Operations & Security department are IT professionals dedicated to supporting and improving the digital infrastructure that underpins the renewable energy sector. About the role
The successful candidate will gain hands-on training and experience across IT systems and cybersecurity, including:
Monitoring and supporting IT systems
Implementing and promoting cybersecurity best practice
Managing user accounts and permissions
Supporting network and server maintenance
Database and asset management
Providing first-line IT and cybersecurity support to teams worldwide
You will report directly to the IT Operations & Security Manager and will be supported in building your technical expertise and professional development.
What you will need
Required criteria
- A valid full UK driving license
- A self-starter with a strong willingness to learn and develop
- Demonstrate some knowledge around IT
- Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rota if required
- Fully proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Desired criteria
- Third-level qualification in IT, computing, or a related discipline
- Previous experience in IT support, systems administration, or a technical placement
