Painter - This is a part-time role, working 20 hours per week, to help keep our home safe, welcoming, and well maintained for our residents.
Main Duties:
Painting and decorating resident bedrooms, communal areas, and other parts of the home.
Preparing surfaces (filling, sanding, priming) and carrying out minor repairs.
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
Handling paints and equipment safely, following health and safety guidelines.
Working respectfully around residents and minimising disruption to daily life.
About You:
Experience in painting and decorating.
Able to work independently and to a high standard.
Friendly, reliable, and respectful of elderly residents.
Knowledge of safe working practices (COSHH, ladder safety) is an advantage.

About the role
JOB PURPOSE
To carry out painting on the fabric of the build, in order to ensure that the Care Home is maintained in a safe and efficient functional order.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
* Proven ability to work on own initiative and work as part of a team
* A commitment to a service, which provides support to vulnerable individuals, and which is respectful and according to the individual’s wishes
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to communicate effectively with Clients, colleagues, Managers and other persons with a legitimate interest in the service
* Decorating skills
* Basic DIY skills
* Experience of driving
* Proven ability to complete day to day repairs and maintenance to a safe & high standard
* Satisfactory Police Check and check against the DBS List (where applicable)
* Self-motivation and flexibility
* Commitment to the aims & objectives of the service and of Hill Care Ltd
