General Manager
We are looking for a confident and experienced General Manager to ensure that high quality care is provided to older people in our care home. You will be an influential and respected leader with the vision and drive to ensure continued improvement and able to make strategic decisions about the future and growth of the service.

About the role
Overseeing the day to day running of the care home to ensure delivery of high- quality, person centred care
Ensure that the home is operating safely
Leading and managing staff to ensure they are supported to perform their roles safely and to the best of their ability
Support staff through coaching and training to support career development aspirations
Ensure that the service provides a warm and welcoming environment to residents, relatives and colleagues
Managing budgets and contracts
Making strategic decisions about the future and growth of the care service
Leading on specific projects or service improvements
Expected to cover shifts for sickness and holidays
Required to work unsocial hours, including nights, weekends and bank holidays as necessary.
Flexibility due to 24/7 service operation
Job description subject to review and changes in consultation with the post holder

What you will need
Required criteria
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care
- Experience of working in the health or social care sector
- Proven track record of managing a care home
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate others with good HR Experience
- Change management skills
- The ability to think strategically to develop your organisation
- Good project management and organisational skills.
- A good understanding of all areas of compliance including CQC standards, legal frameworks, policies and procedures
- Experience of working with residents with dementia
- An ability to build good relationships and work well with health, social care and any other relevant partners, as required
