Abbeyleix: HR Generalist
Location: Abbeyleix, Co. Laois
Report to: HR Director
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Hours: 9am to 5pm
About the role
· Serve as the first point of contact for HR queries, providing practical and accurate advice in line with Irish employment law and Harmony Care policies.
· Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding processes for care and support roles, including interview coordination, Garda vetting, references, and issuing of contracts.
· Ensure all HR administrative processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner, including maintaining digital and hard-copy personnel files.
· Oversee probation monitoring, training compliance, and contract updates.
· Support disciplinary, grievance, and performance management processes by providing documentation, attending meetings, and maintaining records.
· Assist in drafting, updating, and implementing HR policies and procedures.
· Maintain HR databases and produce regular reports on recruitment, attendance, turnover, and compliance.
· Ensure that all activities meet Tusla and other relevant regulatory standards.
· Liaise with payroll to ensure accuracy of pay-related changes.
· Contribute to employee wellbeing, retention, and engagement initiatives.
· Support audits, inspections, and statutory returns as needed.
