Contract: Full Time Permanent
Reports to: Estates Manager
Salary: €40,000 per year
Annual Leave: 22 Days per Annum
Hours: 40 Hours over 5 days
Probation: 6 Months
Odyssey Social Care (OSC) is a leading provider of residential care for young people, committed to fostering an environment of support and continuous growth. We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of our facilities. This role requires hands-on experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
About the role
Key Responsibilities:
Carpentry: Perform minor carpentry works such as repairing doors, fittings, and general repairs
Electrical Repairs: Carry out basic electrical maintenance, including replacing fixtures, switches, or sockets.
Plumbing Repairs: Address small plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, or fixture replacements.
General Maintenance: Performing preventative property upkeep tasks.
Painting and decorating: ability to fully paint all aspects of a building such as ceilings, walls , woodwork etc.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with safety regulations.
Skills and Requirements:
Proven experience in property maintenance, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing repairs.
Knowledge of garden maintenance
Knowledge of tools, equipment, and repair techniques.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills with fluent English and time management skills.
Valid driver's license
