Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Shunter Driver to join our Supply Chain team. The role will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely movement of large vehicles and trailers around our manufacturing site.
Vehicle Movement: Manoeuvring trailers in and out of loading bays, coupling and uncoupling trailers, and parking them safely.
Safety Checks: Conducting routine inspections of vehicles and trailers, reporting faults, and adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Loading and Unloading: Assisting with the movement of goods, ensuring secure loads, and completing handover procedures.
Documentation: Accurately completing required paperwork and maintaining records.
Site Maintenance: Observing good housekeeping practices and ensuring the yard is clean and organized.
About the role
Job Requirements:
· A valid shunter or HGV license
· Proven experience in a similar role including safely coupling, uncoupling, and manoeuvring vehicles in confined spaces.
· Good knowledge of storage and distribution within a food manufacturing environment is desirable
