Riding Instructors
Castle Leslie Estate is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Riding Instructor to join our team. The Riding Instructor at Castle Leslie Estate is responsible for providing exceptional riding lessons and experiences to guests of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced riders. This role involves assessing riders' abilities, tailoring instruction to individual needs, ensuring the safety and well-being of both riders and horses, and maintaining the high standards of the equestrian center. The instructor will lead group and private lessons, including trail rides, cross country and play a key role in creating a memorable and enjoyable experience for guests exploring the estate's stunning landscape on horseback.
About the role
The Riding Instructor at Castle Leslie Estate primary responsibilities will involve providing high-quality instruction to riders of varying abilities, as well as contributing to the general upkeep of the yard. This includes essential duties such as feeding and mucking out. A typical day will not involve late evenings. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for horses and teaching, coupled with a proactive, "can-do" attitude and a flexible approach to working hours, including weekend availability. Previous experience in a similar role is essential, and candidates must hold a BHS Stage 2 or 3 qualification. For those holding Stage 2, we offer comprehensive support and encouragement to progress to Stage 3 or even Stage 4.
