We are seeking an experienced and qualified Clinical Lead - Paramedic to join our medical assistance company. This role will support the smooth flow of medical cases, ensuring the highest standards of care, risk assessment, and governance, while working closely with coordinators, nurses, and doctors. Reporting to the Clinical Operations Director, you will be a vital part of our operations, offering clinical guidance and support for complex medical cases and repatriation planning.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
Qualified Paramedic (e.g., Diploma of Paramedical Science or equivalent)
5 years of experience in pre-hospital or emergency care settings
Valid paramedic registration and certification
Willingness to maintain ongoing paramedic registration
Desirable:
Experience in medical assistance or emergency call centres
Knowledge of international healthcare systems and medical evacuation
Expertise in risk mitigation and health risk assessment in challenging environments
Current studies in Global Health & Conflict or similar field
Skills & Competencies:
Strong clinical assessment and triage skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in medical terminology and clinical documentation
Adaptability, teamwork, and a patient-centred approach

About the role
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Triage & Risk Assessment: Prioritize and assess incoming medical cases through calls, emails, and other communication channels, using your clinical judgment and risk assessment tools.
Clinical Guidance: Provide professional medical advice and support, following paramedic practice protocols and clinical governance guidelines.
Case Management Support: Collect detailed medical and situational information to assist in case management, ensuring accurate and timely communication between teams and clients.
Vulnerable Customer Support: Assess complex and vulnerable medical cases, ensuring the appropriate care pathways and internal processes are followed.
Repatriation Planning: Participate in medical repatriations, including air ambulance and flight coordination, to ensure safe and effective transport of patients.
Consultancy & Training: Contribute clinical insights for consultancy projects and provide training to non-clinical coordinators to improve call handling and case assessment.
Collaboration & Documentation: Work collaboratively with clinical and customer teams, maintaining accurate records of all medical interactions and assessments in line with company policies.
Learning & Development: Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to the training of others, fostering a strong paramedic pathway within the company.
What you will need

- Valid professional registration/certification as a Paramedic
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pre-hospital or emergency care settings.
Desired criteria
- Knowledge of international healthcare systems, and medical evacuation processes.
- Experience in a medical assistance, emergency call centre, or similar corporate environment.
