Care Assistant- Burnley (Driver)

We are looking for carers to work in the Burnley area 4 days a week including working alternate weekends. Having care experience would be an advantage, but if you don’t have any experience, we will train you up for the job.
We are a Preferred Provider for BWD Social Services and Lancashire county council we also provide care for the CCG as well as private clients. We are a family business and have been providing care in the area for 26 years.
If you have at least 6 months experience in care, you will start on an hourly rate of £12.50/hr* This will increase to £13.00* per hour once you’ve passed an NVQ qualification.
If you have an NVQ, you will go straight onto £13.00* per hour.
With an hourly rate if you have no care experience of £12.25* per hour, you will be trained first of all in our classroom by our management team, and then be mentored one on one by one of our experienced qualified carers.
Once you pass your probationary period your hourly rate will increase to £12.50*
At that point you start your Level 2 or 3 NVQ qualification and when you achieve that your pay goes up to £13.00*
You need to be a driver with access to a car and able to work alternate weekends.

We provide induction training and carers must reach the required level of knowledge in each subject area. They must also complete a number of shifts with a supervisor to make sure they’re competent at following care plans and delivering the required level of care. New recruits will also be working on achieving their diploma/NVQ qualification in care, which takes between 6 and 9 months to complete.
