What does a Retaining Wall Designer do? Produce the companies Retaining Wall proposal documents using AutoCAD and in-house software, manage the flow of design requests and offer technical support to different stakeholders within the business and produce first class quality of work.

About the role
Responsibilities:
The following list constitutes the key tasks and duties of your post upon which your job performance will be assessed. Tasks are not in any particular order, therefore the sequence which they appear should not be interpreted as indicating priority or relative importance.
Duties will include:
· Be the source of receipt for all preliminary design requests in-and-out from the sales teams and track and record all designs requested and completed.
· Manage your own schedule ensuring a balance of both quality and quantity.
· Determine which designs should be completed inhouse and which should be completed by Tobermore external engineering consultants.
· Use AutoCAD and Tobermore bespoke software to create site-specific preliminary designs to aid the sales teams.
· Provide Formal Design quotes and process formal design requests when instructed via our network of consultants.
· Provide technical & sales support to Tobermore staff and clients (House Builders, Tier 1 Contractors, Groundworkers, Builders Merchants, Civil/Structural engineers) as required.
· Record all designs, plans/drawings, quantities and customer interaction on to Dynamics as per the processes set out.
· Ensure Dynamics fields are accurate and assist in providing forecasting information on Retaining Wall specifications and sales.
· As part of the wider team, ensure the secura @mailbox is managed and requests are dealt with by the team.
· Carry out additional reports, pro-active activities or tasks as required and deemed within your competence by your manager.

- • Third Level education
- • Experience in AutoCad design

- • Excellent written communication skills and an excellent telephone manner with objection handling skills • Be well organised, systematic & able to manage your time effectively

Desired criteria
- • BEng Degree
- • Civil Engineering experience • Business development. Experience • Knowledge of the construction industry
- • Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and Bill of Quantities • Experience with CRM software and Microsoft 365 • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitors, and relevant legislation
- • Full Valid UK Driving Licence
