We're looking for a BI Developer with a strong background in business partnering, statistics, data engineering and data visualisation to create value from our extensive data resources.

About the role

Requirements

The candidate will likely have at least 5 years plus experience in specifically analytical, UK-based roles, either within a data team or as an outstanding individual contributor.

·        Strong upstream data engineering skills with SQL and PySpark notebooks (as our databases are complex)

·        Power BI: advanced DAX data modelling and measures

·        Working up analysis such as uplift vs benchmarks, AB tests, segmentations and predictive modelling, with statistical rigor

·        Experience with Microsoft Fabric or an equivalent modern data analytics platform (Databricks, etc)

·        Partnering with key stakeholders: building consultative relationships, project management, and concise presentation

·        Professional self-starter, proactive, takes ownership, problem-solver, good judgement, outstanding attention to detail

It is essential that you can show real work examples of your previous work, as tutorial dashboards etc are not sufficient to demonstrate the above.

 

Responsibilities:

·        KPI reporting for departments

·        Deep dive analysis projects to create value for various stakeholders such as the CFO and department heads

·        Create and manage data pipelines from our production database (that powers the websites) to our analytics architecture in Fabric

·        Take ownership of analysis and reporting areas that already have complex solutions in place, to enhance them and drive them forward

·        External client reporting using Power BI Embedded reports on our Control Panel system

·        Statistical / predictive modelling projects

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary range: £55,000 - £60,000

What you will need

Required criteria

  • Strong experience with Power BI and Advanced DAX for complex data modeling
  • Experience with predictive analytics and statistics
  • Proficient in Power Query / M
  • Expertise in Excel
  • Experience developing end-to-end Power BI reports and knowledge of Power BI administration
