Salary: Officer Level

Rule Purpose: Responsible for the creation and delivery of Digital Marketing strategy for Marketing Division, supporting offline Marketing efforts online, driving awareness and engagement across website and social channels.

Accountable to: Head of Marketing

Accountable for: Digital Marketing 

Key Relationships: Department Managers, Trading and Sales Teams, External Clients and customers and retailers.

About the role

Responsibilities

Creation & delivery of the digital marketing strategy deploying organic & paid social media campaigns.

Utilise third party platforms to support both the brand and retailers with their social media efforts.

Planning upcoming posts, recognizing current trends and being quick to react to them.

Building and maintaining our social media presence for the brands and it’s direction.

Define and execute the marketing and communication activities according to the overall marketing plans.

Track performance & Report on Digital marketing campaigns Monthly with recommendations.

Ability to work alongside agencies and ensure that all digital content is primed ready for execution in line with brand guidelines.

Solid knowledge of Wordpress and it’s plugins to ensure the brand website is regularly updated and is responsive to consumer needs.

Execute and monitor the performance of all e-marketing campaigns in line with brand objectives.

Respond to and field all complaints and queries on social media including the managing of online competitions.

Role Description & Person Specification

Actively engage and support the sales team across NI/ROI to encourage digital marketing involvement and support of the brands.

Keep up to date on digital marketing trends and insights.

Bring new digital ideas to the table in order to enhance the retail /wholesale brands.

Create engaging digital content to be used across a variety of platforms.

Be an integral part of the marketing team, championing digital across the business to drive forward digitalization of our brands.

Solid understanding of digital budget control to ensure marketing spend is used effectively.

Utilizing the internal skills across the Adobe suite to create effective digital marketing content for the various channels.

Assist the wider marketing team in the creation of bespoke promotional/marketing publications and activity when needed.

Liaising with various departments internal and outside agencies and suppliers to support their plans online in line with ours.

Enhancing digital communication with our estate and customer base.

Supporting our independent retailers in their pursuit of a growing their digital presence.

Communicate daily in a professional manner with customers and staff.

Other administration and office duties as required.

To act as an ambassador for both S&W and the Nearby team and always behave in a professional and courteous manner.

To work effectively and efficiently as part of a team.

Any other duties that may be deemed appropriate by your immediate manager.

What you will need

Required criteria

  • Educated to at a minimum of GCSE Level or equivalent with Grade C in GCSE Maths / English
  • Third Level qualification in Marketing/Digital Marketing or closely related field
  • 3 years experience in Digital Marketing
  • Experience in content creation, monitoring social media, using email software and basic design work package skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, on own initiative or as part of a team
  • Ability to plan strategically and with a result orientated approach
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Packages
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload.
  • Ability to analyse results of campaigns to gauge success and guide future marketing plans
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and copywriting skills
  • Willing to undertake staff training and development as required
  • Clean Driving licence

Desired criteria

  • Any further digital marketing courses i.e. Google Garage/Analytics
  • Wordpress Efficiency
  • Mailchimp/Campaign Monitor knowledge
  • Passion to support wider teams and understanding the needs and desires of retailers
