We are one of the leading and most respected utility and civil engineering companies in Northern Ireland, with vast experience in the installation and maintenance of electricity, water, sewerage and telecoms supplies throughout the province.
Due to our growing business we are looking for an LGV Mechanic with previous experience in the maintenance and repair of lorries and vans
The successful candidate must be flexible and willing to work outside core hours when required. Overtime rate is applicable
Working in a team of 4, you will report to the Garage Manager and be responsible for the following:
- Maintenance and repair of our fleet of commercial lorries and vans within company standards
- Take vehicles for MOT Testing
- Conduct vehicle diagnostics
- Attend vehicle breakdowns and tow or repair where applicable
- Complete all necessary “Job Cards” according to the work undertaken
- You will work within Health and Safety guidelines as set out by the company
- Ensure all company equipment and tools are kept tidy and maintained
About the role
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Experienced LGV mechanic
- NQV level 3 qualification in relevant course or equivalent
- Must have 5 years mechanical experience (post apprenticeship)
- Computer literate to be able to use the “TEXA” diagnostic system (training will be provided if necessary)
- Ideally you will be self-motivated and have the ability to work on own initiative without close Supervision
- Ability to prioritise your workload
Working hours:
Standard working week is Monday – Friday with some Saturday work when required

What you will need
Required criteria
- NVQ LEVEL 3
- Must be at least 25 yrs (for insurance purposes)
- Must have a full driving licence
- 5 years mechanical experience (post apprenticeship)
