Support Worker, Supported Independence Lowestoft
£12 per hour (Real Living Wage!) with enhancements for Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Permanent & Part-Time contracts are available.
Up to 35 hours per week, plus the potential for overtime. A mixture of shifts covering morning, evening, daytime, and weekend. No night shifts!

About the role
Start date: to follow our rapid induction, our next start date is 10th February- please see below for further information
Requirement: A driver with access to a car and willing to travel to each customer location (Mileage is paid 45p a mile, paid travel time)
We are looking for an enthusiastic support worker who will role model our values and ensure the people we support lead the lives they choose. We work alongside people with learning disabilities, autistic people, and anyone else with a social care need from the age of 13 and upwards.
A holistic support worker takes care of the whole person, not just their medical needs. They help with things like bathing and dressing, but they also focus on the person's emotional and mental well-being. They might chat with them, help them with hobbies, or just provide companionship. As Support Worker , your key responsibilities will include:
Support individuals to live independently and complete everyday activities, giving them the tools and confidence they need for a fulfilling life. All whilst doing this within someone’s own home and out in the community.
Proactively advocating for the individuals we support and their families, ensuring their voices are heard and needs are met.
Provide compassionate, dignified personal care tailored to each individual's needs.
Fostering effective communication and building a strong rapport with each individual throughout their support journey.
Ensuring the safe and accurate administration of medication.
Your induction
Leading Lives runs a three-week induction programme. Your buddy will meet you on your first day and support you throughout the programme.
The recruitment team will confirm the start date further to a satisfactory enhanced DBS and safer recruitment checks.
