CFF Warehouse Operative
Role: Chilled, Fresh and Frozen Warehouse Operative
Location of Role: Carnbane, Newry
Contract: Permanent – Full Time
Hours of Work: Monday through to Saturday – 5 out of 6 days on a rota.
Rule Purpose: To assist in the overall production and dispatch of customer orders and to adhere to health and safety regulations and procedures always.
Accountable to: Warehouse Manager
Key Relationships: Department Managers, Trading and Sales Team, HR, H&S, Customer Service, External clients and customers, fellow employees.

About the role
To accurately pick and pack orders using voice picking unit
To minimise missed sales and losses to the company through accurate picking
To accurately maintain the bulk stock locations through proper use of the RF handheld unit.
To work efficiently as part of a team
To maintain high levels of health and safety standards
To build and pack cages at a reasonable height as designated by your manager ensuring all heavy goods are placed at the bottom of cage
Be responsible for the upkeep and condition of your voice picking unit and headset, ensuring its security and ensuring to log off when not in use placing back in the holding station at end of shift
To keep work area clean and tidy, being responsible for the general maintenance of warehouse floor
To assist in the loading of lorries.
To adhere to all Food Hygiene Regulations
To work in a chilled and freezer environment
To be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work
To avoid damages to stock through proper manual handling

What you will need
Required criteria
- • Grade C or above in Maths and English or equivalent
- Experience of working in a chilled and freezer environment
- Physical and manual dexterity
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Flexible approach to work
- Willingness to undertake training
Desired criteria
- • NVQ Level 3 in warehousing/retail
- • 2-3 years’ experience working in a similar environment
- • Experience of voice activated picking.
- Forklift License - Counterbalance/reach truck
