About the role
Job description
A Kitchen Assistant main duties include:
Carrying out basic cleaning tasks
Collecting and washing up pots and pans etc
Ensuring HACCP and cleaning regulations are adhered to at all times.
Ensuring HACCP reports are completed daily
Cleaning crockery & cutlery, also ensuring careful handling of delph and crockery to prevent damage and breakages
Ensuring food preparation sites are clean and in a tidy manner at all times
Ensuring the storeroom remains organised.
Ensuring work surfaces, wash up areas, wash hand basins, floors and walls are always clean and sanitised.
The removal and disposal of waste and recycling from the Kitchen together with the staff rooms to the appropriate and allocated disposal units.
Ensure waste, recycling bins and disposal units are emptied regularly to prevent “over flowing”
Ensure waste and recycling are disposed of in the correct manner.
Ensure the yards located at the Lodge and the Castle are clean and tidy at all times.
Ensuring all staff rooms are cleaned twice daily and are kept in a clean and tidy manner at all times.
Ensuring condiments in staff rooms are well stocked at all times.
