CustomCare Engineer
This is an internal opportunity to excel within your CDE career and gain invaluable customer experince and interactions. Working within the CustomCare department (Aftersales) the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and releasing aftersales projects, such as plant upgrades, optimisation requirements and enhancing standard part performance. working closely with the other CustomCare functions, the CustomCare Engineer will be pivotal with delivering world class aftersales solutions (post commissioning), to existing CDE customers, ensuring we strive to make every customer a ‘Customer for Life’.
CDE’s washing applications are increasing in complexity as the need to process more and more challenging materials increases. The role of CustomCare, is to support our customers with achieving and maintaining maximum performance from our plants, which has never been more important. The creation of the Resolve team within CustomCare will form a cornerstone of this support in future and the CustomCare Technical Engineer will be an integral role in this. The CustomCare Resolve team will effectively be an in-house engineering team to support CustomCare. The Resolve team will be responsible for providing solutions ranging from troubleshooting, plant optimisations through, parts standardisation to upgrade projects on existing plants.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
· Providing complete resolution to problems in a prompt manner. This will include technical driven solutions aided by modification or new Design.
· Supporting customers and the CustomCare team both remotely and on site where required. Speed of response and ownership is critical to CustomCare.
· Solutions should consider not only the technical challenges but also any commercial issues and risks.
· Be self-sufficient, it will not be acceptable to provide an excuse to a customer that another internal function is holding up our response.
· Interfacing with a diverse range of specialists, engineering professionals, construction management teams, project site staff and other relevant parties.
· Pricing of small upgrade projects, working with TPS to ensure all aspects of project scope are considered. This will also include understanding any technical or commercial risk before CustomCare projects are proposed.
· Take ownership of any problems you are involved with ensuring any actions for design, technical or otherwise are in hand and completed.
· Provide technical support and train plant operators for new upgrades and modifications.
· Own quality & cost for all associated aftersales projects released within remit.
· Follow and adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and regulations at all times.
What you will need
Required criteria
- • Mechanical qualification or relevant experience
- • Electrical Qualification or relevant experience
- • 3-5 years’ experience in the Quarrying or Recycling Industry
- • Hands on practical experience of Quarry plant and equipment
- • Ability to read and understand Technical Flows and associated Technical Documentation
- • Customer facing skills and experience.
