Blacktop Plant Operator
Applications are invited for the position of Blacktop Plant Operator in Roadstone Ltd to be based in Castlemine Quarry.
The person appointed will report to the Quarry Location Manager in Castlemine Quarry, Co. Roscommon.
The role will involve:
operating the Blacktop Production Plant to produce high quality blacktop products,
proactive monitoring of plant performance,
assisting in maintenance duties
and maintaining a high standard of housekeeping.
The role will also require the operation of mobile plant as required. Applicants should have a proven track record in operating plant and quarry vehicles and be able to work on their own as well as part of a team.
About the role
The candidate will have the following specific responsibilities:
Awareness & implementation of all elements of Health & Safety.
Liaise with management on an ongoing basis on plant requirements.
Liaise & communicate with the dispatch office to ensure all product is produced in a timely manner to meet customer requirements.
Willingness to work with local management to identify, plan and implement maintenance requirements in a safe and effective manner.
Candidates should ideally possess:
Ability to be a Team player with an ability to work on own initiative.
Be self-driven with desire to show flexibility as required in operating different company machinery.
Experience in company materials and requirements in their production.
