Bank Registered Nurse
Dementia Support Worker - Transform the lives of our resident living with dementia!
Location: All Care Homes - Linfield House, Caer Gwent & Haviland House
Contracted Hours: Bank - Zero hour contract
Salary: £25.20 per hour Mon - Fri, £26.76 Sat & Sun
Working Hours: Day shift: 7:30am-8:30pm, Night shift: 8pm-8am
Job Purpose:
As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred care, ensuring the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of residents. You’ll take charge of the care home in the absence of the Home Manager, supervise care staff, and contribute to the training and professional development of the team.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate residents' care using evidence-based practices.
Lead shifts and oversee day-to-day nursing care, delegating tasks as needed.
Support care staff with professional development and act as a role model.
Maintain accurate records and safeguard residents' confidentiality.
Liaise effectively with residents, families, carers, and other professionals.
Deputise for the Home Manager as needed, including at night.
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and promote a safe environment.
What we are looking for:
Essential:
Nursing qualification with a valid NMC PIN.
Knowledge or experience in dementia care.
Satisfactory DBS check.
Desirable:
Approved First Aid certification.
Experience in care home or non-hospital settings.
Management experience is advantageous.
