Job Summary
You will play a key role in supporting the team members in the pick and pack operations of SAM products, striving to achieve optimum levels of picking effectiveness, efficiency, output, and product quality.
About the role
You will be responsible for a team of people ensuring: -
Picking and loading schedules are adhered to and completed within the designated timeframes, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and maintenance of expected quality standards. TOC methodologies are integrated and supported throughout each process.
All relevant documents completed in a timely and accurate manner.
A safe working environment is maintained at all times to ensure the safety of all staff members and visitors on-site.
Promoting the use of the SAM Safety Culture system and ensure all Operators are fully engaged and trained.
Compliance of the SAM policies and procedures.
Ongoing learning and development for yourself and team members.
Partake in meetings/teams/projects/root cause analysis as required including taking the lead when required.
Take responsibility for your own work and that of your team, while being willing and able to hold others accountable.
Promote the SAM values and lead by example.
Encourage Operator engagement in Bright Ideas.
Carry out all other duties as required.
Encourage the practice of good stock rotating system within the warehouse.
Oversee and promote waste reduction across all operations
Hours of Work:
Day Shift - 41.25 hours per week; Monday – Friday 06:45 – 15:45
What you will need
Required criteria
- Fluent in written & verbal English. Excellent numeracy skills.
- Good communication skills
- Ability to prioritise and delegate workload in a busy work environment.
- Ability to lead and manage a team by example.
- Be able to present and delivery daily shift / PIT meetings which will cover important information to the team.
- Knowledge of operating within health and safety guidelines.
- Experience of being accountable for daily / weekly targets.
- At least 1 years’ experience in a warehouse supervisor role.
