An extraordinary opportunity awaits you at We Care Group as Payroll Manager. This role empowers you to shape our payroll function and be a driving force in our journey.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Payroll Manager to join our business based at our Head Office in Harrow, London. This opportunity is suitable for an experienced Payroll Manager who possessed full end to end payroll processing experience (please note it is an essential requirement to have managed hourly paid and salaried employees). You will be joining a friendly, growing business offering a great place to work autonomously, providing mentorship, leadership and support to a small team of Payroll Administrators. You will be dealing with a variety of both small and larger payrolls on a weekly basis ensuring the workload is delegated however, also working "hands on".

Ideally we would like someone based in our Harrow Office with a hybrid working arrangement - 4 days in the office, 1 day at home. However, if you have the skills set please still apply.

Key Tasks

  • Processing and managing payroll for circa. 1,850 employees across 10 pay groups including 4-weekly and monthly pay cycles

  • Mentoring/training and delegating to small team of administrators providing technical support

  • Provide payroll reports and updates

  • Dealing with HMRC queries & RTI

  • Competent and knowledgeable with all aspects of Pensions Auto Enrolment procedures

  • Processing starters/leavers, SMP, SSP, P45/P46’s

  • BACS processing

What you will bring to the role:

  • Sound knowledge of payroll systems - We use Sona HR & Payroll

  • Team leadership/ drive and desire to lead a small team

  • A solid knowledge of pension auto enrolment procedures to work effectively in this autonomous role

  • Experience of driving improvements to enable efficiency

What you will need
