Production Operator (Continental Shifts)
Brett Martin is a firmly established global business, manufacturing an ever-growing range of plastic and building products. Due to continuous growth and investment, we are seeking to recruit a number of new Production Operators, who will have the opportunity to join an exciting and innovative workplace, working with state-of-the-art machinery and equipment.
As a Production Operator (Continental Shifts) at Brett Martin, you will work:
12-hour continental shifts (rotating days and nights)
Average of 40.25 hours per week
7 out of every 14 days / nights
£15.34 per hour inclusive of shift premium
Salary of £33,105 inclusive of shift premium
About the role
Main purpose: To carry out required duties on production lines including ancillary machinery and to ensure that finished products are of the required standard.
Main tasks and duties
Quality control and inspection of finished products;
Packaging of finished products ensuring they meet required quality standards;
Assisting with machinery as required;
Ability to work with warm water (personal protective equipment supplied if required);
Maintain work area to required standard;
Deal with non-conforming materials, processes and products in accordance with Company procedures;
Participate in training and improvement activities and to train others as required;
Be willing and capable to learn new and established processes and procedures within given time-scales as required by the Production Manager;
Ensure that all output and product output sheets are completed on their shift and that any problems relating to scrap or downtime are clearly documented.

What you will need
Required criteria
- Can work 12 hour shifts on a continental pattern
- Ability to work in a busy manufacturing environment
- Basic numeracy skills
- A good level of English both written and verbal
Desired criteria
- GCSE English and Maths (Or Equivalent)
- Have a FLT License
- Basic IT literacy
- Recent experience working within a manufacturing environment
