Bar Manager
· Manage the daily operations of the bar, ensuring efficiency and excellence.
· Coordinate with the Director of Food & beverage and the General Manager to develop and implement operational procedures and policies including the induction, development and training of new colleagues.
· Oversee rostering and customer bookings to ensure maximum utilisation of the outlet. Manage the team workload to ensure tasks are prioritised and allocated in order to optimise best use of the workforce and resources available.
· Minimise costs, maximise sales and gross profit margins whilst keeping effective control measures in place including but not limited to stock, ordering, cash handling and overheads.

About the role
The Imperial Hotel Cork is seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to lead the team at our newly refurbished bar, a key highlight of the hotel’s recent renovation project made possible by a substantial investment from the Fitzgerald Group—one of Ireland’s largest and most esteemed hospitality groups.
As Bar Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping an exceptional guest experience, ensuring that the bar becomes a vibrant and memorable venue for both local patrons and hotel guests. This role calls for a strong leader with an eye for detail, a passion for quality service, and the ability to cultivate a welcoming, upscale atmosphere. Your responsibilities will encompass all aspects of bar operations, including inventory management, staff training and development, guest relations, and overseeing the bar’s financial performance.

What you will need
Required criteria
- 5+ years previous bar management experience in either a manager or assistant manager role
- Candidate must be located in Cork or willing to relocate
- Candidate must be able to demonstrate knowledge of the local market place
Desired criteria
- Previous hotel bar management experience
- Previous pre opening experience in a hotel or large venue with an eye for detail
