Domestic Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Domestic Assistant to carry out domestic cleaning duties including vacuuming, polishing, mopping and ensuring the Home is kept clean, tidy and well maintained for residents, staff and visitors.
About the role
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. To carry out all aspects of cleaning as required.
2. To mop, vacuum and polish as necessary to ensure all floors are clean.
3. To carry out carpet cleaning as required.
4. To clean and tidy bathroom and toilet areas as required.
5. To polish furniture and fittings as required.
6. To clean and polish windows interiors, window ledges and doors regularly.
7. To replenish toilet rolls, soap and paper towels and provide feedback on stock levels as necessary.
Communication:
8. Participate in Staff and Resident meetings as and when required.
Training & Development:
9. Attend mandatory training days/courses, on of off site, as and when required.
Health and Safety:
10. Report immediately to the Nurse manager, or Person in Charge, any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a Resident, colleague, self or another.
11. Understand, and ensure the implementation of, the Nursing Home’s Health and Safety Policy, and Emergency and Fire procedure.
12. Report to the Nurse Manager or Maintenance person, any faulty appliances, damaged furniture, equipment or any potential hazard.
13. Promote safe working practice within the Nursing Home.
General:
14. Promote and ensure the good reputation of the Nursing Home.
15. Ensure that all information of confidential nature gained in the course of duty is not divulged to third parties.
16. Notify the Nurse manager, or the Person in Charge, as soon as possible of your inability to report for duty, and also on your return to work from all periods of absence.
17. Ensure the security of the Nursing Home is maintained at all times.
18. Adhere to all Company policies and procedures within the defined time scales.
19. Ensure all equipment is clean and well maintained.
20. Carry out any other tasks that may be reasonably assigned to you.
