The successful candidate can expect to work 35 hours per week (excluding breaks), five shifts out seven including weekends.

The salary for this full-time position is £21,294.00 per annum. Hours vary, but typical shift patterns include, 6am-2pm, 7am to 3pm, 8am-4pm with later hours at the weekend.

About the role

To ensure  hotel linen is cleaned and maintained to  Hastings standards and to process guest laundry and dry cleaning requirements for the greatest enjoyment of the guests and maximum resource efficiency for the hotel.

  • To receive, sort and process soiled hotel linen in accordance with Hastings standards, ensuring finished items are correctly stored and accurate records maintained.

  • To check items for damage and take appropriate action to ensure they are not returned to stock in a damaged state.

  • To launder and dry clean staff uniforms as required, distributing clean items as required.

  • To process guest laundry and dry cleaning to high standards, ensuring items are accurately labelled and returned to correct bedroom.

  • To ensure all equipment and materials are used in correct manner and any problems are reported immediately.

  • To work effectively with colleagues to a ensure harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.

  • To maintain the security of stock areas at all times, immediately reporting any breaches.

  • To comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.

  • To ensure that guest concerns, complaints and difficulties are dealt with courteously and efficiently, reporting them to the Supervisor/Manager on duty.

  • To ensure all guest enquires are handled efficiently and effectively.

  • Any other duties as required by Management

 About You

We would love you to have some similar previous experience, but this is not essential as our Housekeeping Team will provide you with full training.

  • Must be educated to GCSE standard or the equivalent with grades A-C in English and Maths
